New year, new features! Check out what's new at SuperOps in January and give them a spin.
January flew by in a flash, and we packed it with useful features for MSPs and IT teams. We rolled out new RMM automations, Google Calendar sync, three new security integrations, and a handful of enhancements. In this blog, we’ll dive into what’s new, how these features can help you automate IT, and what exciting updates are coming next.
What's New
Perform headache-free device maintenance
With maintenance mode, you can temporarily pause alerts, scripts, and patches for a device that requires some kind of maintenance activity – updates, repairs, testing, etc. By pausing these services, you can perform your maintenance tasks peacefully, without being bombarded by false alerts, and also ensure any scheduled patches/scripts don't interfere with your maintenance work. You can set up recurring maintenance modes as a policy, or manually put a device under maintenance on demand from the asset details page.
Discover new assets that join a network
With network discovery, run network scans and identify workstations, servers, and network devices that have joined a client’s network – reject unauthorized devices and onboard ones you want to monitor by installing the SuperOps agent in bulk, with a single click. Schedule your scans to run periodically, and ensure your clients’ networks are safe from threats. With support for WMI and SSH monitoring, SuperOps can now discover servers and workstations as well, on top of network devices.
Network discovery is available in the Standard RMM, Pro, and Super plans by default, without the need for the network monitoring add-on.
Policy automations for faster onboarding
We've introduced asset onboarding under policy management that lets you configure the initial actions (patch, software, and scripts) that need to be executed on an asset as soon as it is onboarded. Under asset onboarding, you can define the following:
Patch & Software Deployment: Define the deployment time for OS patches and software – you can choose to deploy immediately, or after a specified delay. The list of patches and software bundles to be installed will be pulled from the patch management and software management tabs for the selected policy set.
Scripting: Specify the scripts to be executed and their timing – you can choose to execute scripts immediately, or after a specified delay. Multiple scripts can be configured to run during onboarding, and SuperOps will execute them in the exact order they are defined
Classic view for tickets
We’ve introduced a new ticket view with a sleek split-screen layout that lets you see the list of tickets on the left, and details on the right. With Classic view, you can switch between tickets by scrolling through the ticket list on the left, and perform bulk actions with ease. You now have the flexibility to switch between the following ticket views whenever you like – List, Kanban, and Classic.
Timer & worklog in tasks
Stop billable time leaks at the task level by tracking time directly from a task, and convert your logged time into worklogs. Click and open any task to find the timer widget on the right side panel.
Scheduling with Google Calendar
You can now manage Google Calendar events within SuperOps! Eliminate the need to manage multiple calendars and gain instant visibility into your team’s availability with two-way sync between Google Calendar and SuperOps.
Alert templates
Now, you can choose alerts from a curated library of predefined alerts built by SuperOps and add them to a policy set with a single click. Customize alert conditions, actions, and reset settings to match your needs perfectly. With alert templates, skip the hassle of manual setup and jump straight into fine-tuning alerts that work best for you. You can access the alert library under the Alert Management section in any of your policy sets.
Single sign-on for requesters
Standardize logins, eliminate vulnerabilities, and enable secure access for requesters by setting up SSO with Entra ID.
New integrations: Sophos, Exium, and Dropsuite
We’ve added three new integrations with more on the way! You can now manage cybersecurity for your endpoints with Sophos and Exium, and cloud backup with Dropsuite.
What’s Next
Recommended solutions & similar tickets
Get recommended solutions for an issue from Monica based on similar tickets across clients, and drastically cut down resolution times. Monica will automatically update ticket fields and suggest hyper-relevant solutions from the web based on key ticket terms.
AI-generated scripts
Get Monica to write complex, tailor-made scripts that you can run on your endpoints to automate specific tasks. Test your script safely in a sandbox environment before deploying it on your client devices. Monica will also suggest variables to include in your script, and generate readmes to give context to you and the rest of your team.
