SuperBugle editor Sushma Udipi Nagendran on how the industry conversation moved from AI itself to the IT work, and what this edition offers for what comes next.
Every quarter, as I put the edition together, I spend a lot of my time listening to people across the industry. What has been fascinating is how quickly the nature of the conversation has changed over the last six months.
First it was about AI coming. Then it was about people accepting that AI was here and figuring out how to balance human and AI. Now, the conversation is no longer about the technology, but about the IT work itself. People are asking what happens to the work, what changes, what needs to be done differently, and how others are navigating that change in real time.
When the rules are changing as quickly as they are now, there is value in knowing how others are responding. Their experiments can give you ideas. Their mistakes can save you time. Their questions can make you rethink your own. That's what you'll find in SuperBugle: conversations that surface the ideas worth paying attention to, the experiences worth learning from, and the questions the industry hasn't answered yet.
In this edition, you'll find data that helps make sense of what's happening, practical advice for navigating the transition when the ground is shifting, and stories from people who are using this moment to find new ways of working for a new era of IT.
I hope it leaves you with a clearer sense of what to do next. But the conversation is only useful if people keep adding to it. If something here lands, or if you see it differently, write to me. Your perspective belongs here.
Sincerely,
Sushma Udipi Nagendran, Editor, SuperBugle
