Compare
A comparison of ConnectWise and Kaseya across RMM, PSA, pricing, and deployment complexity to help you find the right platform.
We compared ConnectWise and Kaseya using verified user feedback from review platforms and public product information. The analysis focuses on what matters most during evaluation: pricing visibility, deployment complexity, RMM and PSA depth, AI and automation, ease of use, support, and long-term scalability.
Here's how ConnectWise and Kaseya compare as IT management platforms.
ConnectWise provides a modular MSP software stack across endpoint management, service desk, billing, remote access, quoting, and automation. Its core products include ConnectWise RMM for cloud-based endpoint management, ConnectWise Automate for deeper scripting and on-premises deployments, ConnectWise PSA for ticketing and billing, and ScreenConnect for remote access.
4.3/5
G2 Rating
Kaseya offers a wider IT management portfolio across RMM, PSA, documentation, backup, security, and operations. MSPs can choose products like VSA, Datto RMM, Autotask PSA, and IT Glue individually, or evaluate bundled plans through Kaseya 365.
4.4/5
G2 Rating
Category | ConnectWise | Kaseya |
Pricing model | Per-technician for ScreenConnect and quote-based for RMM and PSA | Per-technician for Kaseya 365 Ops, quote-based for most other products |
Starting price | $30/month/license for ScreenConnect | $129/month/user for Kaseya 365 Ops |

ConnectWise does not publish standard pricing for its RMM, PSA, or CPQ products. Buyers need to request a custom quote based on the products, licenses, and support options they choose. ScreenConnect is an exception, with pricing starting at $30/month per license when billed annually.
Kaseya publishes pricing for Kaseya 365 Ops, while Kaseya 365 Endpoint, Kaseya 365 User, and individual products such as VSA, Datto RMM, and Autotask still require a custom quote. Final cost depends on the bundle, product mix, license count, and contract terms.

ConnectWise offers two RMM options: ConnectWise RMM and ConnectWise Automate. ConnectWise RMM is the newer cloud-based product for endpoint monitoring, patching, automation, and remote access across Windows, Mac, and Linux. ConnectWise Automate is the older product, better suited for teams that need deeper scripting, advanced customization, or on-premises deployment and works mainly on Windows.
Kaseya also has two RMM products: Kaseya VSA and Datto RMM. VSA was developed in-house, and Datto RMM was acquired. Kaseya VSA monitors and patches endpoints across Windows, Mac, and Linux with built-in remote access. Datto RMM covers OS and third-party application patching, remote control, and automation scripts with ransomware detection.
SuperOps helps you manage endpoints across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and iPadOS. Every endpoint connects to ticket history, contracts, and client data because RMM shares a codebase with PSA and MDM. The zero-touch deployment agent automates new-client onboarding, saving technician time. Teams using SuperOps manage 3x more devices per technician without adding headcount.

ConnectWise PSA covers ticketing, project management, time tracking, billing, and SLA management. It connects to ConnectWise RMM and third-party tools through the Asio platform, giving MSPs a broader service delivery stack across operations. Automated billing handles recurring contracts and invoicing. Sidekick AI assists with ticket triage and resolution suggestions.
Kaseya offers PSA through Autotask, with additional options like BMS and Vorex for different business needs. Autotask covers ticketing, billing, project management, time tracking, SLA management, and CRM. It also integrates with Datto RMM, allowing technicians to move from a ticket to the related device context more easily.
SuperOps PSA is built as a work management engine, not just a ticketing tool. It shares a data layer with RMM, so every ticket carries full device context. Technicians can trigger remote access and chat with the endpoint user without leaving the service desk.
Time entries connect directly to contracts and reconcile automatically, helping reduce end-of-month billing delays. Managers can track client profitability in real time and use technician utilization data to spot contracts that cost more to service than they return.
Using ConnectWise as a full platform often means working across multiple products, including PSA, RMM, Automate, and ScreenConnect. Each product has its own interface and setup requirements, which can create a steeper learning curve for technicians and admins.
On G2, ConnectWise PSA scores 7.2 out of 10 for ease of use and 6.2 out of 10 for ease of setup. ConnectWise Automate scores 7.3 out of 10 for ease of use and 6.5 out of 10 for ease of setup. Reviewers often point to configuration complexity and interface clunkiness as common challenges.
Kaseya’s experience depends on which products a team uses. Datto RMM, VSA, Autotask, IT Glue, and BMS each have their own workflows, terminology, and navigation patterns because many of these tools were originally built as separate products.
Within individual products, scores are more favourable. Datto RMM scores 8.9 out of 10 for ease of use and 8.8 out of 10 for ease of setup on G2, while Kaseya VSA scores 8.0 out of 10 on TrustRadius. At the platform level, however, teams may still need to move between different tools and interfaces depending on their setup.
SuperOps is designed to be easy for technicians to learn and use every day. PSA, RMM, MDM, IT documentation, project management, and network monitoring all live in one workspace, so teams can find ticket, device, contract, and billing context without switching tools. Technicians can move from a ticket to the affected device, trigger a patch, launch remote access, and update time entries from the same platform. This reduces clicks, context switching, and training time. SuperOps scores 9 out of 10 for ease of use and 9 out of 10 for ease of setup on G2.
ConnectWise is a strong fit for established MSPs that want a full enterprise platform, deep integrations, and mature PSA capabilities, and that have the resources to handle a more involved rollout. It tends to suit teams that value customization and ecosystem depth, with the tradeoff of a steeper learning curve and a more modular product structure.
Kaseya is better suited to teams that want broad product coverage from a single vendor and are open to evaluating bundles like Kaseya 365 across operations, security, and endpoint management. The tradeoff is that buyers should look closely at product fit, workflow consistency, and contract structure, especially if they plan to use several products across the portfolio.

It depends on what your team values most. ConnectWise is often preferred by MSPs that want deeper PSA customization, a large integration ecosystem, and strong automation depth. Kaseya suits teams that want broader product coverage from a single vendor and prefer bundle-based buying. If you want a single platform built from the ground up rather than a bundle of acquired tools, SuperOps is a strong alternative to both.
