Atera offers separate pricing for MSPs and IT departments. MSP plans start at $129/technician/month when billed annually, and IT department plans start at $149/technician/month. Network Discovery and Work from Home are available as separately licensed add-ons.
N-able's pricing varies by product. MSP Manager and Take Control charge a flat per-technician rate, while N-central scales based on device count and requires a custom quote. N-sight UEM starts at $139/month, the final costs require a custom quote.
Atera offers two AI products. AI Copilot is included on every plan, helping technicians draft tickets, generate scripts, manage the knowledge base, and get patch recommendations. Robin is Atera's autonomous agent, built to handle IT issues end-to-end without manual input. Pricing is not published and access requires a separate demo.
N-able offers two AI tools. ResilienceAI works in the background. It analyzes endpoint telemetry, detects anomalies, and triggers automated remediation. N-zo is an AI assistant built into N-sight and N-central RMM. It helps technicians check device health, work through resolution steps, and coordinate actions across agents.
Monica AI operates across the SuperOps platform in two modes. One works alongside technicians, summarizing tickets and worklogs, converting replies into worklog entries, generating scripts from plain-language prompts, and flagging bottlenecks by ticket category. The other works autonomously, surfacing relevant knowledge base articles as users describe their issues.

Remote monitoring and management | ✓ | ✓ |
Patch management | ✓ | ✓ |
Remote access | ✓ | ✓ |
Deployment model | Cloud-native | Cloud or On-premises |
Atera's RMM covers monitoring, patching, remote access, automation, and scripting for Windows, macOS, and Linux from a single dashboard. Remote sessions run through built-in integrations with AnyDesk, Splashtop, TeamViewer, and ScreenConnect. Patch management includes Windows, macOS, Linux, and third-party software. Network Discovery is available as a separately licensed add-on, and AI Copilot integrates directly into the RMM workflow for device diagnostics, alert triage, and script generation.
N-able offers two RMM products targeting different scales. N-sight is designed for smaller MSPs and IT teams that need quick setup, bundling remote access and ticketing into a single product. N-central targets larger enterprise environments, with remote access and ticketing treated as separate components requiring additional licensing. Both products include real-time monitoring, vulnerability management, and automated patching.
SuperOps RMM shares one data layer with PSA, ticketing, MDM, and Monica AI, so monitoring signals, patch status, device inventory, and ticket context are all visible in the same console without switching tools. Teams using SuperOps report 40% higher technician productivity, 3x increase in tech-to-customer ratio, and 80% fewer escalations
PSA Capabilities | Atera | N-able |
Ticketing | ✓ | ✓ |
Time tracking | ✓ | ✓ |
Contract management | ✓ | ✓ |
Billing and invoicing | ✓ | ✓ |
Atera's PSA is built into the MSP offering as a native part of the platform. It covers ticketing, contract and billing management, a white-label customer portal, SLA policies, and reporting. The ticketing layer supports seven creation methods, including email-to-ticket and alert-to-ticket, with AI-powered tagging that automatically categorizes and routes incoming tickets to the right technician. Billing covers multiple contract types, including hourly, retainer, fixed term, block hours, and block money, with automatic time capture and direct integration with QuickBooks and Xero.
N-able's PSA capability depends on which RMM product is selected. N-sight includes basic ticketing and billing natively, while N-central requires a separate MSP Manager license. MSP Manager covers email-to-ticket creation, per-ticket time logging, bulk invoice generation, scheduling with iCal export to Outlook and Google Calendar, a staff workload dashboard, and integrations with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Xero.
SuperOps PSA covers contract management, SLA tracking, billing, and automated invoicing as a native part of the platform. Every hour worked is captured and reconciled against the relevant contract automatically, eliminating month-end billing reconstruction. Client profitability is a live metric at the account level, giving managers real-time visibility into which contracts are underpriced and where excessive technician utilization needs rebalancing before those patterns affect margin.
Atera's help desk routes each ticket based on technician skill, workload, and availability. Technicians can connect to the affected device directly from the ticket and access device diagnostics without switching tools. Ticket deflection is available through the knowledge base.
N-able's help desk offers basic ticketing and a brandable portal natively in N-sight, while N-central users need MSP Manager as a separately licensed product. MSP Manager covers ticket queues, configurable routing rules, and SLA alerts. It does not include AI-assisted routing, omnichannel intake, or in-product AI responses.
SuperOps collects tickets from email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and the help desk portal into one queue, with each ticket carrying the full device context of the affected endpoint. Technicians can launch a remote session or start a chat from inside the ticket without switching tools. For recurring issues, unified runbooks turn static SOPs into step-by-step workflows built directly into the ticket. Each step can run a script, route an approval, or pull in a knowledge base article.
Atera offers a structured knowledge base, Atera Academy for onboarding and training, and an active community forum with peer discussions and a public product roadmap. The Shared Script Library gives all users access to community-contributed and AI-generated scripts.

G2 Quality of Support
N-able's primary support portal is N-ableMe, backed by N-able U for structured training and the Head Nerds team for expert technical guidance. Phone support is available via a toll-free US/Canada line and an international number. The Developer Portal includes more than 700 pre-built scripts, API documentation, and a global builder community for teams writing custom integrations.
8.4
G2 Quality of Support
Atera suits MSPs and IT departments that want RMM, PSA, ticketing, and AI at a published per-technician price with no separate product licenses. Unlimited endpoints keep costs predictable as device counts grow.
N-able suits larger MSPs that need enterprise RMM configurability, CMMC 2.0 compliance support, or an on-premise deployment option. N-central's Infinity Core architecture gives service providers granular control over complex, multi-client environments at scale.

We have them answered.
It depends on your operating model. Atera may suit teams that want RMM, PSA, ticketing, and AI assistance in one cloud-based product with published per-technician pricing. N-able offers a broader product portfolio, with N-sight designed for faster adoption and N-central offering more configuration depth for complex environments. SuperOps is another option for teams that want RMM, PSA, native MDM, and agentic AI on one architecture.
